FTC:WATCH is a fortnightly
newsletter published 22 times a year. Started in 1976 by former
FTC employees, it is a comprehensive, independent newsletter specializing
in coverage of the Federal Trade Commission, Justice Department's Antitrust
Division, State Attorneys General and Congress. It offers in-depth analysis
of the most current news surrounding mergers and acquisitions, consumer
protection and trade regulation. The Washington Post has called
FTC:WATCH the "Bible" of antitrust trade journals and its Senior
Editor, Arthur Amolsch, has been named one of Washington's most influential
journalists by the
National Journal and "an ace investigative reporter"
by the Columbia Journalism Review.
In addition to examining the top national (and global)
trade issues of the day, FTC:WATCH also offers exclusive coverage
of many other important news events. The following sections are included
in each issue:
Antitrust Division Watch: an experienced and insightful view of the latest developments at the Justice Department's Antitrust Division;
FTC Enforcement: reporting the details of the Commission's current attempts to enforce rules, both in and out of the courtroom;
Briefs: summaries of many interesting (and often surprising) pieces of news;
Calendar: ofupcoming conferences, hearings, and other events;
People: noteworthy news about noteworthy people;
Employment: a free service to
subscribers to advertise relevant job openings.
